Description
This Fabrication Technician is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and modification of plastic extrusion equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform necessary welding in production environment.
- Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
- Reading blueprints, equipment rigging and installation, knowledge of hydraulics and gear boxes, assembly/disassembly of equipment, routine maintenance, and repair of plastic extruders, blenders, and other related equipment.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.
Requirements
- Must have Associates degree in Welding; experience may be considered in lieu of formal education (3-5 years)
- Must have welding experience (MIG and TIG)
- Must have plumbing experience
- Must have prior fabricating experience and the ability to read drawings
